📖 Psalm 98:1–9 < God’s Salvation Extending to All Nations >

9 He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity.

✨ God’s Salvation for All the Earth

Psalm 98 is a song of salvation that resounds beyond one nation to “all the earth.” God reveals His salvation not only to Israel but among the nations. This shows the redemptive-historical flow in which God’s salvation unfolds toward His chosen people from every nation. Salvation is not the result of human effort or merit, but entirely the work accomplished by God Himself.

✨ The God Who Remembers and Fulfills

The passage says, “He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to Israel.” Here, “remember” means acting to fulfill His covenant. God always accomplishes what He has promised. This shows that salvation works within the covenant and is completed under God’s sovereignty and faithfulness. Therefore, our salvation stands firmly on the certain promise fulfilled by God.

✨ The Completion of Salvation Rejoiced by All Creation

The psalmist declares that the sea, rivers, and mountains rejoice and praise God. This means that salvation extends beyond individuals to all creation. God’s salvation transforms not only our hearts but also our lives, communities, and even the world. This is the power of the gospel.

🙏 Prayer

Righteous and faithful God, we praise You for accomplishing our salvation and revealing Your glory among the nations. Let our lives not remain within the gospel but flow out to our neighbors and the nations. Help us remember that we are saved not by our works but by grace alone, and lead us to live in humility.

  • Am I holding onto God’s salvation as if it were only for myself? Share the gospel with one person today.
  • Am I remembering and giving thanks for the salvation God has accomplished in my life?
  • Pray and serve intentionally so that your family and community may be transformed by the gospel.

💡 Meditation Point

God’s salvation does not stop with me. It is grace that flows to the nations. Hold onto that grace today, and go toward one soul.
