📖 Matthew 26:47–56 < The Betraying Disciple, the Fleeing Disciples > 56 But this has all taken place that the writings of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples deserted him and fled. ✨ Humanity That Falls Even in the Closest Place Judas betrayed Jesus with a kiss, and the other disciples all fled in fear. Even those who had been closest to Him—who heard His words and witnessed His miracles—collapsed in the moment of crisis. This scene reveals the true nature of humanity. We are not beings capable of preserving our faith by our own strength. Because of sin, humanity is totally weak and easily collapses before circumstances.
